Ciao, Lisboa!

On our third day in Lisbon, we took a tuk tuk tour first thing in the morning. I guess babies are not allowed on those, but our driver slash tour guide, Vico, was really cool about it and let us sneak Will on anyways.

He took us to see some beautiful views and was nice enough to let us stop for some much needed coffee. Thank you Uncle James for taking a photo of us! Forever blurry family photos with these kids - they never stop moving.

On the last bit of the tour, Vico took us to see a breathtaking church that was completely burned on the inside. He told us some depressing history about that spot and so ginjinha shots were a must.

(Uncle James was a life saver and helped give me a break and did some baby wearing for a while. Can these two have babies already?)

We were all getting super hangry and over it (mainly Henry) so we put our name down at A Cevicheria and killed some time at the nearby farmer’s market.

The food there was just as amazing as I’d hoped and their pisco sour was dangerously perfect. Thankfully there was a playground nearby , after Henry ate, he really needed some time to let loose. I was pretty proud of him for playing with kids he didn’t know speaking a language he didn’t know.

On the way back to the airbnb we grabbed some ice cream. That experience is not pictured here because it was a total disaster. Me and Henry’s ice cream scoops immediately melted the moment we stepped outside and it was like fifteen minutes of trying to figure out how to clean our hands and arms (yes, it melted so fast it got all over our arms) with those pathetic napkin squares that they love to use in Europe. It was pretty comical thinking back, but in the moment I wanted to cry. Ha!

Miss you already, Lisboa!
