Clearview Orchards

Last year our dear friends, Jackie & Geoff, invited us all to go apple picking! Leave it to Jackie to find the perfect, and what is now my favorite, apple orchard - Clearview Orchards in Watsonville.  After our first visit, I knew that I wanted to make it an annual activity to welcome the fall. 

Last year we went on the very last weekend of the season, so this year we wanted to go picking on opening weekend. Since Jackie & Geoff were out exploring Japan (everyone has been to Japan but us by the way. WHYYY!!??), we invited henry's bud since birth to forage for apples with us. Yes, they were being ridiculously cute the entire time.

The boys had so much fun. They loved being in charge of their little tote bags. Henry had a couple of sugar induced melt downs of course. The orchard sells the best homemade apple turnovers & apple juice, which of course I had to get... so that kind of set him off. 

It was way more of a workout this year keeping up with these little ones. It is so crazy how fast these guys are growing & how independent they are becoming. My sedentary lifestyle accustomed body does not approve.

I'm hoping next year we can bring my parents. I think they would really enjoy it & the extra set of hands won't hurt since we will have a seven month old at that time!

Looking forward to next year's visit, but still enjoying the fruits of this year's. Pun super intended.
