Gigi & Pop Pop
A couple of years back I did an anniversary session for my parents, who if you didn't know, are the cutest couple. We kept it really simple and went to the park close to their house - we absolutely loved how they turned out. Anyways, with Mother's Day around the corner my mom was saying we should do another session at the same park, but this time with my boys. I LOVED her idea.
I rarely see sessions done with just little ones and their grandparents, and why is that? I mean, look at how cute they all are together!? All my grandparents have passed, but the few photos I have of just me and them, I cherish so much. You have no idea. I hope my boys appreciate these moments captured just as much.
Just look at these two. Their relationship with each other is so funny - lots of butting heads but SO MUCH LOVE. I am dying to do a shoot of just the two of them this summer in a kitchen making magic together.
Seeing my dad with my boys always has me thinking of my grandpa José. I'm so grateful my little guys have so much love surrounding them. I will never forget the moments I spent with my grandparents and I know my boys won't either.
I love watching their relationships and love for each other grow more and more each day. I was telling my mom that we should make this a tradition and do a session with them every year. It will be so sweet seeing the photos through the years as they grow.
I'm especially excited to see where William will be this time next year. He has had such a long journey already for such a young little babe. I'm so grateful my parents have been by our sides through it all.
Clearly I love my parents a LOT, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I am fully aware how incredibly lucky I am to have parents that are so unbelievably loving. Henry and William, be good to your Gigi & Pop Pop!
